How can I register?
Through this website, we have online registration.
How long do courses last?
Weekly courses last for 12 weeks, holiday courses could last from two to five days. Please see our section on course descriptions for further details.
Will my child’s football skills improve?
We sincerely hope so. However, as well as working on their general skill levels, your child will be develop their ability to read the game, learn how to solve problems, improve their communication and fitness levels and find out how to Play the Arsenal Way!
Do the children get to play competitive matches?
In order to play competitive matches, players are required to sign-up for our soccer school leagues that take place on Friday afternoons and evenings.
What will my child need to bring to practice?
Upon registration, your child will receive a kit bag containing two sets of playing kit and a water bottle. In addition, your child will need to bring footwear suitable for an Astroturf pitch (moulded studs, trainers or blades) and to make sure that they wear shin-guards for all coaching sessions. In hot weather, sun cream and a hat or cap are always a good idea.
What happens if my child gets injured?
All of our coaches are first-aid trained and there is also a staff member on site to deal with injuries and emergencies in our well-equipped medical room. All players are insured as part of the registration process (which includes a medical declaration form) and we have a working relationship with the BDF hospital. Emergency contact numbers for all players are kept on file should they be required.
How do players get selected for the Advanced Coaching courses?
Players are invited by the Director of Coaching to attend these sessions on Saturdays.
Are there any specific courses for Goalkeepers?
Periodically, we will host specialist training clinics for goalkeepers but we will also endeavour to make sure that all players are catered for during our sessions regardless of their preferred playing position.
Can my child get a trial with Arsenal?
This scenario is extremely rare and would only occur through recommendation by our Director of Coaching.
How do I apply for a Scholarship?
As part of the Arsenal Soccer School Bahrain commitment to grassroots development, fifty talented and committed young players aged between 9 and 16 will be selected to join the scholarship programme each year. This programme will see our coaches identify and select the most promising players from throughout the Kingdom both male and female. We will publicise details of the process on this website.
Can I watch my child during the session/matches?
Of course you can, although we would ask that spectators do not venture onto the playing area. There are numerous seating areas available both inside and outside and you can also relax in the Arsenal Café.
What are the benefits of becoming an ASSB member?
The Arsenal School membership scheme will be available by March 2010. Full details to follow shortly.
Will you be offering courses for adults?
In the future, we will be aiming to host a number of different event s for adults such as training courses for local football coaches or football tournaments for adult teams.
Can your facilities be rented out?
Our playing facility is not for rent but we can host birthday parties and other functions in our club house. |
